Instructions
1. Evaluate the nasal passages for trauma, foreign bodies, nasal polyps, nasal septum deviation, etc.
2. Take the supine position, select the appropriate nasopharyngeal airway (the diameter of the patient's little finger can be used as a reference), and the length from the tip of the nose to the ear lobe is the insertion depth.
3. Spray human anesthesia or ephedrine (can not be used in emergencies), apply paraffin oil to the catheter.
4. Obliquely facing the nasal septum, insert it backwards (about 13-15 cm) parallel to the bottom of the nasal cavity until the tail reaches the outer mouth of the nasal cavity. In case of resistance, the airway can be turned slightly, and it cannot be forced into. If the patient coughs or resists, he should recede 1-2cm.
5. Fix the pipeline and assess whether the airway is unobstructed. Self-made method of nasopharyngeal airway Choose 6.5 tracheal tube, remove the balloon, keep 20 cm from the tip, cut off the rest, and connect the back connector.
