Prodol Meditec, SA, the manufacturer of Airtraq video laryngoscopes and camera systems, has selected Mercury Medical as the North American exclusive distributor partner for its most advanced video laryngoscope product line, effective from January 1, 2022 . The exclusive agreement includes distribution in Canada and Puerto Rico.
Airtraq simplifies video laryngoscopy with its ETT channel guide, which helps with safety and reduces intubation time. The fully disposable system with a 90-degree shape is used in conjunction with the anatomical structure to minimize the need for overextension while reducing strength. There is no need to use a stylet to avoid potential injuries and eliminate the cost of additional intubation equipment. Airtraq facilitates intubation from any position, has clinical evidence of high intubation success rates, and is easy to learn. The optional lightweight Wi-Fi camera facilitates video recording and automatic recording options.
